Romeo

Today we say farewell to our beautiful Romeo, who passed away quietly last night, asleep on his bed in his foster home where he was able to live out the happiest year of his life. Romeo came to SCGSR after landing in a high kill shelter at 10 or 11 years old. His hip had been out of socket for years. Generous SCGSR donors and volunteers, and his loving foster family, provided Romeo with corrective surgery and a year of swim therapy which he loved. Nothing was more fun than swimming after his squeaky toy, except maybe voicing his opinon every chance he got. Special thanks to Michele, to Trish Penick for providing therapy, and to vet Rob Tugend for caring about Romeo every day. Below is a little time line of our boy from day one, with his foster mom, and happy in the pool.
