Be one of Ziggy’s angels!

A 11 month old male German Shepherd was found by San Diego police officers on the side of the freeway, emaciated, dehydrated and unable to stand. Ziggy is about 11 months old and weighs only 42 pounds. From the state of his broken bones, our vet determined that Ziggy had been hurt for nearly 3 weeks, trying to survive and unable to walk. Ziggy was rushed to our vet, where he was x-rayed to find that one rear leg was severely broken, and his pelvis is broken on the other side. He was immediately put on pain medication, rehydrated and fed, and we consulted with an orthopedic specialist to make sure we were doing the best thing possible for Ziggy. Yesterday afternoon, he had surgery on the broken leg, which took four hours. His other leg will also need surgery in the near future. Ziggy gave us all a sigh of relief this morning when he stood on his own and was able to walk a few steps to his food bowl. Even with our vet giving us a large break on costs, Ziggy’s surgeries will run in the range of $5500. Will you be an angel for Ziggy by donating to help him today? https://socalrescue.org/make-a-donation/
