Dudley is a sweet and goofy young male German Shepherd who needs a foster or adopting home. He was rescued from a high kill shelter, from an owner that had kept him locked in his backyard his entire life. He was emaciated and sick with pneumonia, but has made a remarkable recovery and is now healthy and happy 75 lbs.. Dudley is a mellow guy, happy to sit in the sun and take short walks – not the kind of young dog that needs lots of exercise to stay calm. He is house-trained, crate-trained, easy to walk on a leash and enjoys car rides. He is very friendly with strangers and affectionate. He is a very loyal friend, easily trained, who quickly bonds to the people taking care of him. He has huge ears, and super long nose, and a face so full of expressions it’s like he can talk to you. He will do best as the only dog, and in a quieter home as he prefers not to have lots of high energy in his living environment. Dudley is a kind, handsome young dog who had a terrible start to his life and deserves to find a great home. Right now he’s in boarding so he’d love to be living in a home instead, even if its temporary with a foster until he finds his permanent home. – Adopting Dudley will be a very rewarding experience and you will have a loyal friend forever.
