We know that there are a lot of great organizations to donate to, but SCGSR stands out in that we pay no salaries or facility fees, and the bulk of your donation actually goes to helping dogs receive the veterinary care they need, spay and neuter, training, vaccinations, worming, flea and tick meds. If our dogs have significant veterinary needs, those are taken care of prior to adoption, including hip and elbow surgeries, skin issues, broken bones, and training needs. Many of our dogs come in having survived poor diet and have receive little training and love. Our lovely volunteers advocate for their dogs, know everything about them to be reasonably known, and because of the time our volunteers invest, we can help you make the right adoption decisions and we provide ongoning support. The glory of dogs is that with some patience, understanding and training, they want to be healthy, they quickly adjust to the good life and being loved, and they live for today. A resuce dog, given a chance, can far exceed your expectations and become the love of your life. Help us in our mission by donating, fostering, and volunteering to help us make miracles happen.
